ASTM B423 UNS N08825 / Incoloy 825 Nickel Alloy Seamless Pipe

ASTM B423 UNS N08825 is the standard specification for seamless nickel-iron-chromium alloy pipe made from UNS N08825 (commonly known as Incoloy 825). It defines the chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensions, and manufacturing requirements for a seamless tube product designed to resist corrosion in both reducing and oxidizing environments, especially containing sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and chlorides.

Manufacturing & Heat Treatment

Process: The seamless pipe is produced by hot finishing (extrusion) or cold finishing (drawing).

Condition: Typically supplied in the Solution Annealed & Pickled condition.

Heat Treatment: Heat to 1800°F – 1900°F (980°C – 1040°C), hold for sufficient time, then water quench or rapid air cool.
